Purpose of the DPA
Where customer personal data is processed through StreamGate on behalf of a customer, this page describes the typical processor role and contractual baseline for a formal DPA.
- The customer typically acts as controller for data introduced into its own routes, user environment and support requests.
- StreamGate typically acts as processor for service operation, access management, relay control and support functions where customer data is handled on the customer's behalf.
- A signed commercial DPA can define scope, duration, security measures, subprocessors and assistance obligations in more detail.
Standard processor commitments
Typical commitments include confidentiality, reasonable technical and organizational measures, incident assistance and deletion or return of personal data at the end of service where applicable.
- Use of data only for the documented service purposes.
- Appropriate personnel confidentiality obligations.
- Reasonable assistance for data subject and incident handling requests.
- Subprocessor transparency where relevant to the service delivery model.
